 Tri-Sulate Building System

Tri-Sulate Building System Advantages

The Tri-Sulate Building System was specially designed to address the existing challenges in conventional construction methods with great synergy and harmony. This green technology Health & Safety, Transportation & Handling, Environmental Impact, Insulation Quality, Durability, Structural Integrity while it also offers a user friendly Building Methodology & Management, better Time to Market and Service Delivery. The

Tri-Sulate Building Technology will also contribute in the reversal of Global Warming.

(a)  Time to market:

With growing demand for Houses, Clinics and Schools, it has become the ultimate challenge for building operators to supply the market demands within the framework of the legislative building, environmental and labour regulations.

The Tri-Sulate Building System offer the opportunity to build the same structure within 25% of the time of conventional building with a much more superior quality result which is compliant to building regulations and much more conducive to the environment.

(b)  Labour Skills:

Currently it takes 18-24 months to train an individual to an acceptable skills level in the building industry under supervision. With the Tri-Sulate Building System an unskilled person male or female can be trained as a competent operator within 1-2 weeks

(c)  Structural Integrity:

The External Tri-Sulate Block Module is designed with a centre barrier thus splitting the block in a inner and outer cavity side. The block is filled with concrete and will have a horizontal Y8 mm steel bar inserted on the inner and outer cavity side with every second Tri-Sulate Block layer. This will improve the compression strength four fold.

(d)  Thermal Insulation:

With the conventional construction methods, thermal insulation is very weak and results in high heat losses in winter and high heat gains in summer. To reheat these conventional structures in winter or to cool them in summer costs the consumer a high reoccurring monthly expense.

The Tri-Sulate Building System resolves this challenge by means of a high Fire Resistant EPS-grade as a three layer insulation of EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) separated by reinforced concrete. With the optional high quality roof, windows and exits doors insulation a 50-60% improved thermal insulation can be achieved in comparison with that of the solid brick or cavity wall structures in conventional construction.

(e)  Water Penetration & Damp-proof:

Conventional buildings consist out of clay-brick, mortar and sometimes plaster which is sealed with a 300 micron paint layer. Whenever the cement layer is exposed due to poor quality workmanship, wear & tear or damage, water will penetrate the pores wall.

The continuous absorption of water will eventually condensate on the inside causing damp odour, thermal losses and wall damages which will result in high maintenance cost to the consumer. The Tri-Sulate Building Block is designed with three EPS barriers and the inner and outer sides of the Tri-Sulate block is covered with a 15-20mm plaster before the structure is painted offering the ultimate Water Resistance. Unlike conventional building structures, EPS is not pores and resist waster much better. EPS is also more flexible and does not shrink or expand, therefore won’t crack to allow water penetration.

(f)  Product Handling & Workability:

History has proven that builders and operators suffer plenty irreversible wear and tear in terms of their health due to handling of heavy abrasive

bricks, blocks and other similar products. Also due to repetitive impact movement while knocking bricks & cement blocks into position.

The Tri-Sulate Building Block replaces an equivalent of 32 bricks and the Tri-Sulate Building Block weights less that 1kg. No repetitive knocking is required with the Tri-Sulate Building Blocks as it self-aligns on one-another by means of the protruding button-guides. It becomes possible to train even females with these products due to the ultra-light weight design of the Tri-Sulate Building Block.

(g)  Fire Resistant:

EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is normally combustible as its base material is Poly Resins but a special formula was created to address this challenge at the required Fire Resistance level.

The Tri-Sulate building Block is manufacture of a high quality Fire Resistant EPS grade and will not combust easily and will only start to soften beyond 96° C and ignition of EPS is most unlikely although it might start shrinking at 96°. We can improve this level fire/heat resistance even to a higher resistive temperature, if required.

NB: The 20mm plaster coating offer the ultimate heat protection buffer to the inner and outer layers of the Tri-Sulate building Block.

 (h)  Durability:

Conventional Brick and cement block structures has a high maintenance routine due to continued cracking of walls and foundations and has proven to be an expensive exercise to the consumer.

The Tri-Sulate Block is manufactured from EPS and is flexible and therefore absorbing movement which would normally form cracks in conventional structures. When the Tri-Sulate Building Block cavity is filled with concrete and is reinforced with Y8mm vertical and Y8mm horizontal steel, it creates a more stable structure in comparison with the conventional building structure.

(i)  Wall Décor Options:

The Tri-Sulate Building Block will always be covered with the plaster with many various paint finish techniques, tiling, various plaster techniques;

rock face-brick or slate-stone.
